Since October 2025. Making Heaven Crowded has handed out more than 2,800 meals and more than 3,000 bottles of water to people on the streets of Tampa and Gainesville, Florida. The team doing that work has grown from an initial 5 volunteers to more than 30, without ever pausing the weekly outreach that produced those numbers.
These aren’t projections or a campaign goal — they’re the running count behind the tagline “make Heaven crowded,” the number of times a meal or a bottle of water has actually reached someone’s hands since the ministry’s first outreach in October 2025. Every meal represents an opportunity to serve. That’s the count this page is really tracking.

What’s actually happened, week by week
None of the totals above happened all at once. This is Making Heaven Crowded’s own record of what’s happened since its first outreach in October 2025:
- Shared the Gospel throughout local communities
- Conducted outreach to individuals experiencing homelessness
- Reached college students and young adults
- Participated in outreach during major events, including the Gasparilla Parade and St. Pete Pride Parade
- Launched evangelism training through SENT Sessions
- Established ministry branches in Tampa and Gainesville
- Continued expanding our online evangelism efforts
Most of that ran through one recurring rhythm: a small group of volunteers walking downtown Tampa on a Saturday with food and water, joined not long after by a second team doing the same thing in downtown Gainesville. The newest line on that list — expanding online evangelism efforts — is the same outreach, reaching people who will never meet a volunteer in person.

What these totals are, and what they aren’t
Making Heaven Crowded is under two years old, and these are the organization’s own running totals from its outreach records — not a figure a third-party auditor has signed off on. Nobody should mistake “more than 2,800 meals” for an audited financial statement; it is a count of a repeated, verifiable action, kept the same simple way every week since the first outreach.
What the count does not include matters just as much as what it does: prayer requests submitted online, Instagram followers, and volunteer sign-up clicks that never turned into an actual Saturday are left out entirely. A person’s nonprofit status is a separate question from its meal count, and it has its own separate answer — Making Heaven Crowded is a registered 501(c)(3), EIN 42-2985750, which anyone can confirm directly through Florida’s Check-A-Charity database or the IRS’s Tax Exempt Organization Search.

- Volunteers prepare and bring it themselves before each outreach — the same meals and water handed out are funded in part by gifts on the Give page, where a $25 gift is described as funding food for a street outreach and the conversation it opens.
