Making Heaven Crowded
SENT Sessions: evangelism training
Equipped by the Word. Sent into the world. Training that ends on the street, not in a notebook.
SENT Sessions is a vision Making Heaven Crowded is building toward. The first session has been held. It is not an ongoing weekly program yet. To serve today, see volunteering in Tampa or volunteering in Gainesville, or call (941) 718-2867.
What SENT Sessions is
SENT Sessions is an evangelism training initiative of Making Heaven Crowded, a Christian evangelism and missions organization based in Tampa, Florida. It is designed to equip disciples with the biblical knowledge, practical skills and confidence necessary to proclaim the Gospel. The first session has been held.
The goal is stated in one line: Equipped by the Word. Trained in Truth. Sent into the World. It is the same line that sits at the top of the ministry’s one page overview, and it describes what Making Heaven Crowded hopes SENT Sessions becomes as it grows.
Our desire is for those who participate to not only learn about evangelism but to actively live as disciples who are willing to go.
Three steps
- Equipped by the Word. Disciples are grounded in the Word of God, which is where their confidence comes from.
- Trained in Truth. Disciples are trained to share the Gospel confidently and practically.
- Sent into the World. Disciples go out, in Tampa, Gainesville and beyond, to share the Gospel with the people they meet.
SENT Sessions sits inside a larger vision. Two of the ministry’s eight goals are to equip future evangelists and missionaries and to train disciples to confidently share the gospel.
Training next to the street work
Making Heaven Crowded began in October 2025 with a group of college students. New volunteers go out alongside experienced team members and are never sent out on their own, so nobody has to wait for a session to begin serving. The same framework connects to college ministry in Tampa, the missions and evangelism work across Florida and our story.
Making Heaven Crowded is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, EIN 42-2985750. Its IRS determination letter is available on request.
How people learn today
Right now most volunteers learn on the street. Most of outreach is listening and ordinary conversation, not public speaking or preaching, so someone who is nervous about talking about their faith learns by walking beside experienced teammates. A formal session was never required to join a team.
If you would like to be considered for training when it is offered, say so when you fill out the volunteer sign-up form, or email Makingheavencrowdedtampa@gmail.com or call (941) 718-2867 and ask the team directly.
